It’s been more than 15 years since Lake Nokomis Lutheran voted to welcome and embrace “our siblings of all sexual orientations, gender identities and gender expression.” We’re a Reconciling in Christ (RIC) faith community which means we publicly declare that inclusive welcome and our continued commitment to work for racial equity.
We love without exception every day – by including a Pride tent at Nokomis Days, paying attention to pronouns and the language used in worship, opening our doors to LGBTQIA+ weddings, financially supporting the national RIC program, and more.
