“Music does bring people together. It allows us to experience the same emotions. People everywhere are the same in heart and spirit. No matter what language we speak, what color we are, the form of our politics or the expression of our
love and our faith, music proves: We are the same.” ~John Denver

Lake Nokomis has a long standing tradition of providing great, meaningful and timely music to the worship experience. We welcome all who want to be a part of this ministry, regardless of their musical experiences, or lake thereof, to get involved!
Community Choir
The Community Choir is just what the name suggests: A group of people, 9th grade and up, made up of members of Lake Nokomis Lutheran Church as well as the surrounding community, who love to sing, who find joy in sacred, but not always sacred, music, and who find meaning and need to be in relationship with others. If this is something that interests you, then please come to rehearsals or contact Dennis Wallisch, Director of Worship and Music - dwallisch@lakenokomis.org
Rehearsals - Wednesdays
7-8:30
Currently, masks are welcome but optional to sing in the choir. The covid task force is currently evaluating safety protocols, and will let us know when there's a change.

Handbell Choir
The handbell choir at Lake Nokomis has been established for many years, but we are in a rebuilding time right now and you can be a part of that process. No experience is necessary to play handbells, although it would be helpful.

Do you play an instrument?
We’re preparing music and musicians for our future worship services. If you play an instrument, reach out to Pastor Arthur. All skill levels, ages, and instruments are welcome.
