The New Branches Community

Lake Nokomis Lutheran is part of an innovative community with Living Table United Church of Christ and Spirit of St. Stephen’s Catholic Community called New Branches, newbranchesmn.org.
The three faith communities are drawn together by a shared call to justice, and the knowledge that we can do much more together and have a greater impact in the community.
They share newly-renovated building and worship spaces, while retaining their individual faith identities. Building ownership and management is equally shared.

One home, three churches—a shared Christmas in Minneapolis
"Silent Night." "O Come All Ye Faithful." "Away in a Manger." The songs were familiar as they cut through the cold air, but for the singers, the tradition was a new one.
The night of caroling was shared by members from three separate Minneapolis churches that have come together to create a shared home. For the first time, Lake Nokomis Lutheran Church, Living Table United Church of Christ and Spirit of St. Stephen's Catholic Community will celebrate Christmas under one roof.
