We're called to make a difference

“One person can do many things, but together we can do even more. Together, we can do great things that we didn’t know were possible on our own. Together, we can have the audacity to believe the faith community still matters. Together, we can shine brightly and generate real transformative change in this community.” - Pastor Sara Spohr

We work in partnership for greater impact, sharing our financial resources, and showing up to create a more equitable and just world.

Take action for Housing Justice at the Capitol

Did you know that only one in four Minnesota households eligible for rent assistance actually receive it? Do you believe that there’s really enough for everyone?

Join the effort to pass Bring It Home, Minnesota, bringithomeminnesota.org. This transformative rental assistance legislation works for every eligible household. It’s supported by Beacon congregations and 32 other housing organizations, as well as many of

Minnehaha Food Shelf donations in March

One of our New Branches community partners, Minnehaha Food Shelf, provides food for 250+ of our neighbors in South Minneapolis each week—they’ve asked for special hygiene collections each month based on community needs.

In March, we’ll collect toothbrushes and toothpaste.
Bring these items to the baskets under the New Branches tree
in The Commons.

In the months ahead, we’ll be collecting:

- Shampoo and conditioner in April
- Toilet paper in May
- Diapers in sizes 3, 4, and 5, open boxes welcome, in June
- Bars of soap in July
- Menstrual products in August
